What makes a wise Leader?
Everyone knows the impact that capable leaders can have on a group, team, organization or nation. However in today's complex, unpredictable and fast paced world we require better vision, decisions and character than we have trained our leaders to deliver. Our current business environment calls for mature or wise leaders. It is no coincidence that Wisdom is being explored as a critical requirement in the current leadership literature, by an increasing number of leading experts such as Peter Senge and Stephen Covey. The problem is to find, grow and keep wise leaders. They can be both scarce and expensive if you seek them out. They also are selective about who they want to work for. The solution is to grow them in your own organisation.
What can we share with you?
In the past year at Full circle Feedback we have conducted an extensive research project that examines the way wisdom has been described over the past three thousand years. We discovered a remarkable consistency in these descriptions across centuries and cultures. We have now combined these findings with our years of action research in leadership effectiveness to design the world's first 360 degree feedback measure of wise leadership: The Wise Leader Index.
